Some of my favorite links
Daily doses:
These are the comics I get a daily dose of:
InkTank is a comic about an internet gaming company, (although he is taking a bit of a hiatus at the moment) and I also enjoy
User Friendly,
while Seattle Times Comics is where I get my other main-line daily fixes, mostly from 'For Better or Worse', 'Foxtrot', 'Frazz' & 'Rose is Rose'. (Frazz is rapidly becoming my favorite...) They also have a decient crossword.
Set Games is another nice site for a bit of daily mental excersize, as is Blokus. (a game that has reciently been showing up at RussCon alot!) I also enjoy the daily jigsaw at Webshots.
Other things I spend my time on:
The Alamo Drafthouse has rapidly become my favorite movie theater, and there is often something good at The Cactus. I am a member of the Austin Stitchery Guild (EGA) and the Bluebonnet Chapter of ANG, although I don't make many meetings now-a-days. I am, however, a regular at the RussCon boardgame group and the Texas Juggling Society.
James' Interests:
Casis Elementary is James's school, and
Austin kid events is a good source for ideas of what to do out and about Austin.
Miscellaneous things elseweb:
For checking hoax email, Urban Legends is a must! I strongly encourage everyone to verify anything before forwarding it. And to edit out all those pesky forwarding headers on their emails as well... I hate having to page through loads of unnecessary lines of "/" or ">" to get to a small tidbit of information! [/rant off]
